Monday April 8, 2024 there will be a total solar eclipse standing before Pisces passing across and over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. An eclipse is a physical event behind which there lies a significant spiritual reality. Here we approach a spiritual reality in a physical event.
Rudolf Steiner offers us this; “It is very necessary to reach a point at which we are able once more to perceive the spiritual which permeates all cosmic processes. Eclipses of the sun and moon, recurring as they do in the course of every year, may really be looked upon as “safety-valves.” A safety-valve is there to avert danger, to provide an outlet for something or other — steam, for instance — at the right moment. One of the safety-valves which makes its appearance in the cosmos and to which we give the name of a solar eclipse, serves the purpose of carrying out into space, the evil that spreads over the earth, in order that evil may work havoc in a wider, less concentrated sphere. Ordinarily, the physical sunlight unites with the radiations of will streaming towards it. When there is an eclipse, the forces of will flow unhindered into cosmic space.

The old initiates knew these things. They saw that at such a moment all the unbridled impulses and instincts of humanity surge out into the cosmos. And they gave their pupils the following explanation. They said: Under normal conditions the evil impulses of will which are sent out into the cosmos by human beings are, as it were, burned up and consumed by the rays of the sun, so that they can injure only man himself, but can do no universal harm. When, however, there is an eclipse of the sun, opportunity is given for the evil which is willed on earth to spread over the cosmos. The freedom from the forces of spiritual darkness inwardly which tend to drag humanity downwards, may be found in developing feelings for spiritual concepts such as these. Six spiritual beings along with the eclipsed Sun and north node stand before the Fishes, Pisces. Standing before Pisces are Neptune, Venus, North Node, Moon, and Chiron, with Mercury retrograde at 0 degrees Aries. The Sun will be semi-sextile (30 degrees) away from Jupiter in Aries, Spiritual Hierarchy of the Logos, Lamb of God, who is ready to conjunct (meet directly April 20, 2024) in a rare alignment Uranus for the first time in 14 years! Pisces is where we have the Tenth Hierarchy, Spirits of Freedom and Love, you could say that it is humanity’s great mission to bring freedom into the world, and, along with freedom, what we call in the truest sense of the word ‘love’. For without freedom, love is impossible.
On April 8, 2024 we have the opportunity in Freedom and Love to send out into the cosmos with our highest human nature, “good thoughts, good words, good deeds and/or good will”. In freedom let Love flow unhindered toward our cosmic family!
What can we all do? Plan an intentional deed of “selfless good will”, a sun-radiant filled deed that counters the darkness, counters fear, and counters negativity! We each have the power and consciousness to do that! A totally free ARK – Act of Random Kindness! Awakening, allowing and sustaining our higher human nature, letting the Sun of our hearts be radiant beacons of Light with loving warmth unto one another, our cosmic family, and Mother Earth, will call in the aid of the spiritual multitudes that are waiting for us to step into our Light and sustain it, not just for this day, but always into the future, so the ‘whole’ world will benefit!
